SHARKO is a Powerful Action/Drama about a Young Lad’s Dream of Becoming a Quarterback in the
NFL. The story depicts the life of a young talented & gifted lad named KHALID WHITEHEAD. Khalid
Whitehead who later becomes SHARKO in the picture is reared in the state of Texas by his mother,
LOUISE WHITEHEAD. Under extreme and unusual circumstances, Louise Whitehead chooses to
give up her previous, rich, powerful Beverly Hills life style and alienates herself from her adopted
Beverly Hills family. She is willing to live a life of poverty and shame in Texas, full of deception,
secrets, and lies. Louise gives birth to a male child, whom she names Khalid Whitehead. The story
begins in the early eighties as mother and child experience a life style of struggle, hardships, and
much adversity. When life gets really rough and crazy its Louise’s belief in a higher power that keeps
her grounded. Through the mother’s wisdom and fortitude she teaches Khalid to focus on his
strengths and overcome his weaknesses. The mother fosters and promotes resiliency throughout
her young son’s life and always encourages him to build dreams, set goals, and to never give up on
his dreams- No Matter What! Khalid and his mother’s lives are rough but not without joy, laughter,
and Agape love. Both mother and son maintain hope for a better future. The young Khalid soon
discovers football and the love for the sport starts to consume him. As Khalid grows into a young
man, he develops a great ability at the game of football. Khalid’s talent and outstanding ability to play
the quarterback position prompts RICHIE KING, his middle school football teammate to give him the
nickname SHARKO. Khalid faces one decade and six years of bafflement and repercussions from
his mother’s decision to keep his true identity and heritage away from him. Nevertheless his
unconditional love for his mother, his passion for the game of football, and his love for his childhood
sweetheart SISSY gives Khalid the peace and contentment he needs to follow his dream. On-the-
other-hand Khalid’s greatest inspiration comes from his middle school football coach and mentor,
JOHN LANG. The young SHARKO later faces huge devastation, mixed with passion and joy when
secret doors begin to unlock that will suddenly reveal SHARKO’S true identity. Just the idea of being
resilient consumes and comforts him and the term resiliency becomes one of his favorite words.

SHARKO is an exciting drama about strength and survival against incredible odds, filled with action,
passion, love, forgiveness, resiliency, and positive messages.

Arnaz Battle is a Graduate of The University of Notre
Dame: Home of the Fighting Irish. He is a native of
Shreveport, Louisiana. He now makes his home in
Texas and San Francisco, California where he
plays the wide receiver position for the SAN
FRANCISCO 49ERS. Ms. Dorothy Jernigan Ollie is
proud to depict her nephew as a role model for the
American Youth.
